Representatives from the La Union Provincial Tourism Office, Information and Communications Technology Unit and the Provincial Disaster and Risk Reduction Management Office together with the La Union Alliance of Travel and Tour Agencies undergo a simulation of the R1 VISITA System during the R1 VISITA Training on February 1 and 2, 2021 at the PG-ENRO Conference Room, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The R1 VISITA, which stands for Region 1 Visitors Information and Travel Assistance, is a digitalized system application that shall be implemented to register entry of tourists and monitor the influx and movement of visitors around the region using a QR Code. The R1 VISITA, an added border control system for tourists once implemented, is a concept of the Department of Tourism-Region 1 who also conducted the training and simulation.
