STRENGTHENING TIES OF LA UNION, UAE. Gov. Pacoy welcomes Head of Consulate, Finance and Administrative Department of the Embassy of the United Arab Emirates to the Philippines Khalid Mohamed Alhajeri during his courtesy call on December 4, 2020 at the Office of the Provincial Governor, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Gov. Pacoy and Head of Consulate Alhajeri talked about one of UAE’s National Heroes - Fallen Frontliners, nurse Lezly Ocampo Concepcion from Balaoan, La Union, among others. With the Head of Consulate is the bereaved family of nurse Lezly. She passed away due to CoViD-19 while rendering service as nurse in Abu Dhabi. Her family will receive death benefits from UAE.
The Head of Consulate also signified UAE's interest to help La Union improve its local health facilities.
