Kaprobinsiaans Enjoy Free PGLU Services

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) provided its services to the people through the Aldaw ti Kaprobinsiaan on March 1, 2020 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, City of San Fernando, La Union serving 614 constituents.
The activity is one of the pioneer programs which is part of the 170th La Union Founding Anniversary of the province. Services offered were Medical Consultation with Free Medicines; Laboratory Services; Dental Services with Tooth Extraction / Tooth Cleaning / Fluoride Application; Eye Check-up; Real Property Assistance; Job Assistance Desk; Job Applicants Portal Registration; Sukat Bukel Program; Palit-Basura Program; Free Notarial Services for Indigents and Free Legal Consultation for all; Free Rabies Vaccination; Pet Consultation; Mange (Galis) Treatment; Free Seedlings; Free Red Rice; Free Monggo; Book Reading Activity for Kids; and Free Pampering Services including manicure, pedicure, haircut, and massage. Information drive on different government services were conducted to educate the clients on the services they may avail.
PGLU also partnered with private organizations such as Smile Train who provided free assessment to patients with cleft lip and cleft palate. Also, the Hearing and Aural Rehabilitation (HeAR) Center Inc. provided free hearing exam and earwax cleaning.
“This is the day of our Kaprobinsiaan,” says Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy” R. Ortega III as he thanked all the service providers who joined the activity to give back to the community through the Aldaw ti Kaprobinsiaan.
As the Global Ambassador for Smile Train, Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray graced the event where she turned over P100,000.00 to the international charity dedicated to helping children with cleft conditions. “If any of you know any children or any people that are in need of cleft treatment, Smile Train gives free treatment, free surgery and free speech therapy. Please help spread the information,” she said.
“Yung way ng pag-accommodate sa akin is very welcoming lalo sa case ko, priority kaming mga PWD at Senior Citizens,” said Jade Gurtiza who availed of medical and eye check-up; and free monggo and red rice while Edelmar Dela Cruz of Bacnotan said, “Nagpapasamat po ako sa Provincial Government of La Union kasi meron pong ganitong program dito sa La Union at first time ko pong makapunta at sana magpatuloy pa,” after availing free pet consultation for his poodle.
