LA UNION FORMULATES YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PLAN

To ensure that the youth is part of the inclusive development of the province, the Sangguniang Kabataan Federation Presidents together with the Local Youth Development Officers of La Union participated in the Medium-Term Provincial Youth Development Plan Formulation on February 12-13, 2020 at the Hotel Ariana, Bauang, La Union.
The said activity was initiated by the Provincial SK Federation President, Alyssa Kristine Sibuma in coordination with the Office of the Provincial Strategy, Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator and Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO).
In the opening program, PSWDO Ranilo P. Ipac presented the province's Children and Youth Situation as basis in the formulation of plans for CY 2020-2022.
During the planning workshop, the participants were divided into groups to plan according to areas of participation in education; health; economic empowerment; social inclusion and equity; governance; active citizenship; and environment.
The two-day activity ended with the consolidated plans on the different areas of participation based from the 20 local government units' youth development plans.
