LA UNION EXTENDS AID TO TAAL VOLCANO ERUPTION VICTIMS

UNITY AMIDST CALAMITY. The Province of La Union, headed by Gov. Pacoy, extends P300,000 worth of financial assistance to Taal Volcano eruption victims through Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Resolution 071-2020. Said resolution was moved by SP Committee Chair on Disaster Preparedness and Management and Relief Services Gary Pinzon during the 29th Regular Session of the 22nd SP on January 14, 2020 at the SP Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

As a gesture of assistance to the residents and families affected by the Taal Volcano eruption on Sunday, January 12, 2020, the 22nd Sangguniang Panlalawigan during its 29th Regular Session on January 14, 2020 passed SP Resolution No. 071-2020 allotting Php 300,000.00 to be given as financial assistance to the Provincial Government of Batangas.

The financial aid is intended to defray funds for the relief and assistance operations for the people of Batangas who were displaced and whose livelihood, income sources and other means of living such as animals, houses as well as infrastructures had been severely affected by said calamity.

The amount of Php 300,000.00 will be sourced out from the province’s calamity fund and it will be sent to the Provincial Government of Batangas as soon as the cash aid is ready for release.
