PGLU Day Care Joins National Family Day Celebration

Around 22 day care pupils of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) Employees Child Development Center, together with their parents and guardians, joined the celebration of the National Family Day on September 26, 2019 at the Vista Grandia Resort, Bagbag, Bauang, La Union.

To strengthen bond among the pupils and their families, Child Development Workers Ms. Lerma L. Navarro and Ms. Angela Lyn Munar prepared different activities which included games such as Ball Relay, Balloon Relay, Stop Dance and Bring Me with the parent-child tandem. Highlight of the activity was the swimming in the pool.

According to the United Nations, the Day of Families "provides an opportunity to promote awareness of issues relating to families and to increase knowledge of the social, economic and demographic processes affecting them." National Family Day is celebrated annually every September 26.
