22nd SP CONDUCTS FIRST SCHEDULE OF COMMITTEE MEETINGS

Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Christian I. Rivera, Chairperson of the Committee on Ways and Means, presides over the said committee’s meeting on July 9, 2019 at the Cong. Eufranio “ Franny” C. Eriguel Hall, Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Provincial Legislative Building and Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union. The said committee discussed and approved the municipal ordinances of Agoo, La Union submitted for review.
A week after the 22nd Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) assumed office and as soon as its Internal Rules of Procedure was approved, first committee meetings were conducted on July 9, 2019 at the Cong. Eufranio “Franny” C. Eriguel Hall, Speaker Pro Tempore Francisco I. Ortega Provincial Legislative Building and Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Among the committees that conducted meetings were the Committee on Peace and Order and Public Safety chaired by SPM Francisco Paolo P. Ortega V; Committee on Ways and Means chaired by SPM Christian I. Rivera; Committee on Laws, Rules and Privileges chaired by SPM Jennifer C. Mosuela; Committee on Civil Service and Human Resource Development chaired by SPM Jonathan Justo A. Orros; and Committee on Agriculture and Aquatic Resources chaired by SPM Geraldine R. Ortega.
The committees tackled and approved municipal ordinances submitted by the Local Government Units to the SP for review, including draft resolution supporting the proposal of Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go for the Deferment of the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Elections on the second Monday of May 2020 and the draft ordinance renaming the Mabanag Justice Hall to Senator Alejo R. Mabanag Hall.
All measures discussed and approved during said committee meetings will be submitted for consideration of the 22nd SP during their Regular Session through a Committee Report.
