BRIGADA OSPITAL AT CDH

In line with the observance of Dengue Awareness Month, No Smoking Month and as part of the Caba District Hospital's (CDH) Environmental Preservation and Protection Program, the hospital staff conducted a Brigada Ospital around the hospital on June 1, 2019 at CDH, Poblacion Sur, Caba, La Union.

CDH staff came together as one family to clear all the waste, cover possible areas with stagnant water and conduct 5S, which stands for Sort, Straighten, Sweep, Standardize and Sustain, in their respective unit or section.

During the clean-up drive, CDH Nurses also informed the inpatients and their watchers about the importance of “4S strategy” as the best way to prevent dengue. It stands for Search and destroy mosquito breeding places, Seek early consultation whenever symptoms are observed, do Self-protection measures like wearing pajamas and long-sleeved shirts and Say no to indiscriminate fogging.

Chief of Hospital Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin led the said activity to ensure a safe, clean and healthy environment for all the patients and hospital personnel. Family Day cum hospital clean Up Drive Brigada Ospital is a monthly activity of the hospital which is scheduled every first Saturday of the month.#
