CDH REACHES OUT TO SENIOR CITIZENS

SERVICE WITH COMPASSION. Caba District Hospital’s (CDH) Dr. Dona Ester B. Doctolero and Nurse Alex Tiongson assess and consult a 96 years old patient during the home visit outreach program on April 12, 2019 at Brgy. Juan Cartas and San Jose, Caba, La Union. A total of 4 bedridden elderlies were assisted and given multivitamins, soap, apples and groceries. Home Visit Community Outreach Program is a monthly activity of CDH intended for bedridden elderlies from the different barangays of Caba, La Union as a way of giving back to the community and achieving Gov. Pacoy’s vision of a Healthy La Union, Happy La Union by 2022.
Caba District Hospital’s (CDH) Senior Citizen Program headed by Chief, Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin, conducted a Home Visit Community Outreach at Brgys. Juan Cartas and San Jose, Caba, La Union on April 12, 2019.
The said activity benefited a total of four bedridden senior citizens from the said barangays. The activity involved free medical check-ups with free medicine, distribution of information education materials and gift giving.
Bedridden 96 years old, Crispolo Ogbac, from Juan Cartas, Caba, La Union, expressed his heartfelt gratitude towards the CDH staff for extending their services to their barangay. “Agyamanak kanyayu amin a napan ditoy ayanmi tapnu makita da kami. Uray kastoy ti kasasaad mi ket immay kau tapnu tulungan ken macheck-up kami,” he said.
During the home visit, relatives were also informed on common challenges and health risks of bedridden patients, their prevention and management. They were instructed to assist the elderly to perform basic exercises to avoid stiffening of joints and extremities of their patients.
