As part of the Caba District Hospital’s (CDH) SumVac 2019 program, CDH’s Chenee Rose B. Manangan checks the blood pressure of a beachgoer along the shoreline of Barangay San Carlos and Santiago Norte, Caba, La Union on April 20, 2019.

In coordination with the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council (PDRRMC), Caba’s Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine National Pulis, and barangay workers, Caba District Hospital (CDH) conducted the CDH 5th Summer Vacation (SumVac) 2019 operations along the shoreline of Barangay San Carlos and Santiago Norte, Caba, La Union on April 20, 2019.

There has been no reported injury or untoward incident along the beaches of the said barangays on Black Saturday.

To avoid sunburn and heat stroke, CDH’s Nurse Cindy O. Tan and Jerry Catungal patrolled the shoreline to monitor and advise the beachgoers to use protective measures against the sun and encouraged them to increase their fluid intake to avoid dehydration.

CDH SumVac is a yearly activity held during Lenten season along the shoreline of Caba, La Union teaming up with various government agencies to facilitate safety and provide a quick response if needed.
