PGLU CONDUCTS ISO 9001:2015 MANAGEMENT REVIEW FOR DISTRICT HOSPITALS

Jennifer Joan O. Manguiat, Provincial Administrator and ISO Facilitator presents the objectives of the conduct of the ISO 9001:2015 Management Review for District Hospital on February 18, 2019 at Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, LA UNION- the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) conducted an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Management Review for the La Union District Hospitals (LUDH) in compliance to the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System on February 18, 2019 at Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

PGLU ISO 9001:2015 ISO Facilitator Jennifer Joan O. Manguiat and Marlon C. Runas, Assistant Lead Auditor for District Hospitals representing Dr. Gretchen F. Aromin, Lead auditor for District Hospitals, facilitated the management review for district hospitals together with the LUDH Internal Auditors and district hospital’s department heads and section heads.

The Provincial Administrator opened the meeting with an acknowledgment of the participants. She gave an inspiring and motivational message then enumerated the objectives of the management review.

Among the topics tabled were the review and assessment of the SWOT Analysis by Dr. Fidel Mabalot, Chief of Hospital of Rosario District Hospital; Risk Assessment Registry by Dr. Zenserly Pagaduan, Chief of Hospital of Bacnotan District Hospital; Needs and Expectations of Interested Parties by Dr. Eleanor Dacanay, Chief of Hospital of Naguilian District Hospital; and Opportunities Action Plan by Dr. Mark Anthony Tomboc, Chief of Hospital of Balaoan District Hospital.

Information on the performance and effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS) including the trends in customer satisfaction and feedback, manpower complement were presented by the Administrative Officers and focal point person of each of the district hospitals. Leonora J. Sagun of the General Services Offices tackled the process performance of external providers and conformity of products and services, Agnes Jaravata of the Data Control Custodians (DCC) presented the status of all documented information of LUDH, Engr. Robert Lelina, BAC Head Secretariat informed the participants regarding the updated procurement process and Evangeline Mendoza, Supervising Administrative Officer of the Human Resource Management Unit presented the current status of training programs.

PA Manguiat closed the program by commending the cooperation and efforts of the district hospitals for continuously implementing the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and encouraged each of the participants to work together to maintain the ISO 9001:2015 QMS Accreditation for the District Hospitals and client’s satisfaction through the provision of quality health care services for the people of La Union.

LUDH provision of Health Care Services including In-patient, Out-patient, Emergency, Diagnostics and Laboratory has been assessed and registered by NQA against the provisions of BS EN ISO 9001:2015 since November 15, 2017 and valid until November 15, 2020.
