PGLU HONORS OUTSTANDING EMPLOYEES

The Provincial Government of La Union, headed by Gov. Francisco Emmanuel "Pacoy" R. Ortega III, recognizes the Top 10 Outstanding Provincial Public Servants (TOPPS) for the year 2018 during the TOPPS Awarding Ceremony on December 14, 2018 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, City of San Fernando, La Union.
A high performing and outstanding organization is primarily due to its hardworking, committed and passionate employee-partners. The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), by virtue of SP Resolution 703-2018, conferred the Top 10 Provincial Public Servants during the Annual Recognition and PGLU Christmas Party Program 2018 held on December 14, 2018 at the Provincial Capitol Grounds, City of San Fernando, La Union.
After thorough review and rigid screening of the accomplishments of the nominees based from the criteria and personal interview, Engr. Robert L. Lelina, General Services Officer IV from the Office of the General Services; Ms. Rene N. Corpuz, Supervising Agriculturist, from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist; Dr. Seves C. Corpuz, Medical Officer III of the Bacnotan District Hospital; Dr. Raquel P. Difuntorum, Agriculturist II of the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian; Mr. John Billy D. Marbella, Systems Administrator of the Office of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan; Ms. Mary Jane S. Balancio, Administrative Officer V of the Office of the Provincial Administrator; Mr. Marcelino G. Banera, Construction Maintenance Man from Rosario District Hospital; Mr. Rodrigo F. Dimayuga III, Laborer (Utility Worker) from Naguilian District Hospital; Mr. Ronald P. Cabrillos, Project Development Officer II of the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator; Ms. Joy Ann L. Gurtiza, Administrative Aide VI from the Provincial Tourism Office; Mr. Marlon G. Madayag, Administrative Aide IV of the Office of the Provincial Accountant; Mr. Sylvester B. Flores, Administrative Aide VI from OPG-Information and Communication Technology Unit; Ms. Shirley O. Munar, Administrative Aide I of the Office of the Provincial Assessor; and Ms. Marzel L. Hufana, Administrative Assistant II from the Office of the Provincial Treasurer were adjudged as awardees.
Nominees who tied on the seventh to tenth place were all considered based on the amended version of the ordinance. All awardees received a plaque, a personal copy of the resolution and a cash incentive of P10,000.00.
Mandated by a memorandum from Gov. Francisco Emmanuel “Pacoy R. Ortega III, all PGLU departments and district hospitals submitted their respective nominees on or before November 26, 2018 and from the nominees, an interview was conducted on December 5, 2018 by the members of the SP Committee on Civil Service, chaired by Sangguniang Panlalawigan Member Jonathan Justo A. Orros.
“For me and my fellow awardees, the award means a lot. It’s a recognition of our dedication and hard work, it’s also a milestone in our careers,” said Engr. Robert L. Lelina who gave the acceptance speech on behalf of all the awardees.
