In a continued effort to promote family planning, HIV prevention, and reproductive health, Bacnotan District Hospital (BDH) reinforced its free condom program on February 14, 2025, for the safe celebration of Valentine’s Day.

The condoms, given by the Department of Health through the Provincial Health Office, were strategically placed in the hospital’s public restrooms, accessible to everyone while ensuring their privacy. This is part of BDH’s ongoing program for the promotion of safe sex that started during the World AIDS Day Candlelight Ceremony with Lorma Colleges Nursing Students on December 1, 2024.

As a government-accredited HIV Testing and Counseling Facility, BDH offers free, confidential testing services for patients in need. The Provincial Government of La Union, under the leadership of Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, remains committed to spreading love in La Union through healthier and more responsible practices.
