To ensure everyone's safety from the inclement weather brought by Tropical Storm #EntengPH, a clearing operation was conducted in Barangay Catbangen, City of San Fernando, La Union in partnership with the City Government of San Fernando, today, September 3, 2024 along with the continued field observation of the Provincial Government of La Union response cluster around the province.
As Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David deployed the needed manpower and heavy equipment from the Provincial Engineering Office (PEO), the clearing operation successfully declogged a drainage from trash that was causing flooding in the area.
Gov. Rafy also convened the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council Members on the Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment yesterday, September 2, 2024.
Meanwhile, field observers reported a total of 10 families or 33 individual evacuees from the City of San Fernando and Rosario. While flood water indicators are on safe levels and bridges and roads are passable, a damaged provincial road in Sta. Rita East, Aringay was immediately reported to the PEO and Department of Public Works and Highways.
Gov. Rafy continues to remind the public to remain #AlertoKaPROBINSYAnihan while some parts of the province remain to be under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 and report any emergency to La Union Rescue 911.
