In celebration of this year’s Environment Month, the Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) organized an EnviMazing Race on June 28, 2024, at Agoo Eco-Park, Agoo, La Union.

Bearing theme, “Our Land. Our Future. We are #GenerationRestoration,” the activity calls for current generation to rekindle their roles as stewards of the environment for the sake of future generations and to inspire kaPROBINSYAnihan to continue advocating for environmental awareness towards a greener and environmentally sustainable province.

Aligned with the PGLU's #KalikasanNaman campaign, the EnviMazing Race was designed to promote environmental awareness and showcase the richness and diversity of Agoo Eco-Park. The race featured several stations where participants engaged in activities aimed at protecting and preserving the environment.

Governor Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David, represented by PG-ENRO Department Head EnP. Annalyn Rosario-Valdez, conveyed her support.

“Each step we take in this race symbolizes our commitment to a sustainable future, and each challenge we complete reflects our determination to protect our province’s natural resources. This event is more than just a race; it is a call to action to be part of our La Union PROBINSYANihan to strengthen our Kalikasan Naman campaign,” Gov. Rafy stated.

The event saw participation from Local Government Units (LGUs), Regional Line Agencies, and Provincial Government of La Union sectors. The team from LGU-Pugo emerged as the winner, followed by LGU-Sudipen in second place, and LGU-Bauang in third place.

The success of the EnviMazing Race serves as a powerful reminder of the collective effort needed to ensure a sustainable future of La Union.
