Ensuring the safety of clients and employees, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) received today, November 15, 2021, five Safety Seals for all the buildings in the capitol complex during the PGLU Monday Flag Raising Ceremony.

The buildings in the capitol complex including the Main Capitol, Provincial Engineering Office, Provincial General Services Office, Old and New Sangguniang Panlalawigan Buildings underwent the DILG Safety Seal Validation and Assessment of the Inter-Agency Safety Validation Team from the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Bureau of Fire Protection, and the Philippine National Police on November 5, 2021.

The PGLU Safety Seal Team presented the compliance of the organization to 14 out of 14 checklists as the validation team lauded the preparedness of the PGLU most especially in the main capitol building which caters to most PGLU clients.

To continue the great start, purchase of UV scanner for document sterilization or sanitization; additional air purifiers and air filters; and installation of additional barriers (for frontline) will be done by the PGLU as recommended by the validation team in preparation for the next assessment which will happen in six months.

Gov. Pacoy also announced to the Cabinet Members that there will also be schedules for Safety Seal Assessments for PGLU Buildings and Hospitals outside the Complex.

In his message, Gov. Pacoy emphasized the relevance of the safety seal saying, “I am optimistic that all our facilities and offices will pass the DILG Safety Seal as this is a manifestation of our commitment to deliver outstanding public service in the CoViD-19 pandemic.”

He also expressed his appreciation to all PGLU employees for their service, “To all offices, hospitals, and work units of the Provincial Government of La Union, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your demonstrated relentless pursuit for excellence in providing our best for our clients - our kaprobinsiaan…I therefore ask each of you whatever your position or rank may be, continue being true to our sworn oath of public service and perform your duties as public servants…work relentlessly for we want to give the brand of service we wish to receive as we too, are constituents and residents of this great province.”
