4,000 Worth of Smiles for the Agri-Tourism Village

Information and Communications Technology Unit staff assists visitors in giving their feedback about the Agri-Tourism Village at the Capitol Hill, City of San Fernando, La Union. Overall satisfaction ratings for the Set-up/Physical Arrangement, and Activities and Services were measured from February 22 to March 9, 2019.
In support of the celebration of the 169th La Union Foundation Anniversary, the Information and Communications Technology Unit (ICTU) provided an information system that gathered feedback of Agri-Tourism Village visitors with regards to their experience in the Capitol Hill, City of San Fernando, La Union from February 22 to March 9, 2019.
The 20 Local Government Units divided into the five Agri-Tourism Circuits decorated their booths depicting their town’s agriculture and tourism. After the 16-day event, the feedback booth gathered a total of 854 surveys. Overall satisfaction ratings on the following were seen in accordance to the Set-up/Physical Arrangement, Activities and Services. Expectations were met and highly recommended to others. A whopping 4,120 Happy Faces wagered the 93 Sad Faces consolidated. 605 of the 854 guests were from the City of San Fernando which accumulated the most number of visitors during the duration followed by the Municipalities of Bauang and Agoo.
In statistics, most visitors came from the age bracket of 20 to 30 (284 guests), while female (507 guests) visitors dominated the male ones. Positive and negative feedback, comments and suggestions were also gathered.
In general, the establishment of the Agri-Tourism Village was successful. With its positive outcome, the village showcased what La Union has to offer including food, places and people. The activity made the province one step closer in achieving the vision to become the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
