22nd SP Committees Approved on 1st Session

The Chairpersons, Vice-chairpersons and Members of the committees of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) of La Union have been approved during the First Regular Session of the 22nd SP on July 2, 2019 at the Speaker Pro-tempore Francisco I. Ortega Legislative Building and Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The 26 standing committees, established as aid of the legislative functions of the SP, were accepted through the adoption of SP Resolution No. 000-2019.

The Committee on Agriculture and Aquatic Resources is chaired and vice-chaired by Board Member (BM) Geraldine “Denny” R. Ortega and BM Maria Annabelle S. de Guzman, respectively; Committee on Boundary Disputes by BM Alyssa Kristine B. Sibuma and BM Maria Rosario Eufrosina P. Nisce; Committee on Civil Service and Human Resource Development by BM Jonathan Justo A. Orros and BM Nisce; Committee on Component City, Municipal and Barangay Affairs by BM Denny Ortega and BM Alyssa; Committee on Cooperatives by BM Gerard G. Ostrea and BM Nancy Corazon M. Bacurnay; Committee on Disaster Preparedness and Management and Relief Services by BM Gary N. Pinzon and BM Orros; Committee on Education and Culture by BM Bacurnay and BM Francisco Paolo P. Also in the agenda of the First Regular Session is the adoption of the Internal Rules of Procedure of the 22nd SP and the resolution declaring the ranking of the members of the 22nd SP.

The regular sessions of the 22nd SP is scheduled every Tuesday, 3:00 PM at the Speaker Pro-tempore Francisco I. Ortega Legislative Building and Session Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
