La Union Marks International Day of Forests with Sukat-Bukel Program

In celebration of International Day of Forests 2025, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Provincial Government – Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO), spearheaded the Sukat Bukel Program on March 21, 2025. This program, held under the #KalikasanNaman Campaign, promotes innovative environmental practices by encouraging communities to collect forest and fruit-bearing seeds in exchange for rice.

CDH Mobile Blood Donation Drive Collects 66 Blood Units

Continuing its advocacy and social responsibility for voluntary blood donation, Caba District Hospital (CDH), in partnership with the Provincial Health Office and the Philippine Red Cross La Union, successfully conducted its 36th Mobile Blood Donation Drive on March 14, 2025, collecting a total of 66 blood units.

Provincial Rice Technology Forum on Hybrid Rice Challenge Benefits 140 Participants in La Union

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), in partnership with the Department of Agriculture (DA-RFO1), concluded the Provincial Rice Technology Forum and Culminating activity of the Hybrid Rice Challenge for Dry Season 2024-2025 on March 11, 2025 at Brgy. Taberna, Bauang, La Union, with more than 140 participants.

With the theme, “Forests and Food,” we recognize the importance of forests in providing food, fuel, income, and a balanced ecosystem. Forests are also symbolic of our Indigenous communities in the province. 🍃💜

PGLU Bids Proper Send-Off to Retiring Employees; Highlights Benefits, Future Opportunities

To ensure a smooth transition into retirement and express gratitude for their service, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, organized a Pre-Retirement Program and Send-Off Activity for 32 retired and retiring employees of CY 2025. The event took place on March 6-7, 2025, at the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Training Hall in Brgy. Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union, and the Vel-Seirra Integrated Farm in Tallipugo, Balaoan, La Union.
