2 Day ISO Orientation

Mr. Eric Vinluan of Macro Vision Consultancy discusses Quality Policy Indicators with the Provincial Government of La Union heads and personnel during the first day of the three-day lecture-workshop on ISO 9001:2015 on May 14 to 17, 2019 at the Diego Silang Hall, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) in collaboration with Macro Vision Consultancy (MVC) conducted a two-day Orientation on International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 Quality Objectives and Procedures at Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, San Fernando City, La Union on May 14-15, 2019 attended by department heads of the PGLU and their representatives.

Erick Luke Vinluan, MCV Senior Consultant, started the orientation by defining that quality objectives can be the best way to spotlight the elements of quality policy. He said that the standards of quality policy for a top management shall establish, implement and maintain a policy which is appropriate to the purpose and context of the organization and shall support its strategic direction, include commitment to continual improvement, commitment to satisfy applicable objectives and provide a framework for setting objectives.

The participants learned the criteria for setting quality objectives and action plan through the acronym SMARTC, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, Time-bounded and Challenging.

Enrico Pendon, MCV Consultant, led the Procedural Orientation by discussing the management review inputs and outputs. He discussed that reviewing of management outputs is important for improvements on Quality Management Resources.

The quality objectives and procedures of ISO aim to determine the needs of organizations, facilitate effective deployment and improve the quality management system. Over a million organizations in 170 countries implement such system.
