123rd PCSA KICK-OFF PROGRAM PROMOTES DYNAMISM IN THE PGLU IN FOSTERING SUSTAINABLE MANAGEMENT AND ORGANIZATIONAL RESILIENCE

In celebration of the 123rd Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA), the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) kicked off a series of events aimed at fostering dynamism within the PGLU workforce and promoting sustainable management practices.

On September 8, 2023, more than a hundred PGLU employees convened early in the morning at Poro Point Baywalk, City of San Fernando, La Union to join the Fun Bike and Fun Run. Employees joined in the three kilometer and five kilometer Fun Run while cyclists competed in a 25 kilometer Fun Ride.

Prior to the said activity, a thanksgiving mass was held on September 6, 2023, at St. William the Hermit Parish. This is in partnership with the CSC La Union Field Office and the Council of Human Resource Management Practitioners La Union Chapter.

Furthermore, the PGLU has also initiated the PGLU Olympics where employees participate in different sports activities. This inclusive endeavor not only promotes physical fitness but also fosters camaraderie among PGLU employees. Other PGLU Olympic games and PCS activities will push through as scheduled within the month of September.

Gov. Raphaelle Veronica "Rafy" Ortega-David also extended her appreciation to the dedicated and hardworking employees of the PGLU. She recognizes that their unwavering commitment, tireless efforts and support to #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan have played an important role in the province's growth and development. The Governor also emphasizes the importance of promoting employees' mental health and work-life balance as strategic pillars for achieving both individual well-being and heightened organizational productivity.

The 123rd PCSA celebration in the Provincial Government is a testament to PGLU's unwavering commitment to a progressive and dynamic work environment. With sustainability and resilience as employees' guiding principles, they are forging a promising future for both their workforce and the entire province, leading the way towards a better future for all kaprobinsiaan.
