After bringing pride and honor to the whole province, two teams of young professional athletes were accorded with a commendation by the Hon. Vice-Governor Eduardo Mario C. Ortega and all the Honorable Board Members during the Regular Session of the 23rd Sangguniang Panlalawigan at the Legislative Building, Provincial Capitol on September 6, 2022.

The Il Moo Do team bagged 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, and 2 bronze medals in both singles and team categories during the 2022 National Tong Il Moo Do Championships in Tagum City, Davao Del Norte. Meanwhile, the La Union Bull Sharks Team bagged 2 silver medals during the Subic Bay International Triathlon 2022 at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, Zambales on May 20022.

Hon. Alyssa Kristine B. Sibuma congratulated the young champions. She said that aside from giving honor to the province, their achievements served as an inspiration to the budding athletes of La Union as they continue to improve their abilities and skills in their respective sports.

The Provincial Government of La Union, through the Provincial Sports Officer Mr. Champ Cargamento, assured continuous support to the young athletes of La Union as they fully develop their potential in the field of sports.
