With the collective efforts of every department in sustaining the delivery of good governance and La Union PROBINSYAnihan in the Province, the Provincial Government of La Union successfully passed the first stage of the Integrated Management System (IMS) Audit after sustaining its compliance with the standard requirements followed by its recommendation for the second stage audit for continuous certification.
The IMS covers the ISO 9001:2015 or the Quality Management System (QMS); ISO 14001:2015 or the Environmental Management System (EMS); and ISO 45001:2018 or the Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS).
Among the good points identified by the auditors include the commendable commitment and active participation of the top management and the staff for the implementation of IMS, good practice in updating the complete departmental aspect and impact as well as its summary and significance, identification of OH&S Hazards and risks and the complete and sufficient documented information related to EMS and OHS-- which is all vital in the achievement of another milestone in providing excellent public service.
The audit objective ensures that PGLU offices meet all the applicable statutory and regulatory requirements and to determine the effectiveness of the management system in the operation of PGLU as a whole.
This remarkable achievement is a clear manifestation of the employee's dedication and commitment in providing competent and excellent service to every Kaprobinsiaan through the implementation of an efficient quality system, procedures and services.
The PGLU Department Heads, ISO Officers and Auditors convened on July 28, 2022 at the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office Conference Hall, Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union for the assessment and evaluation of the Provincial Government's management system and performance.
The PGLU continues to strengthen its effort to maintain the development of a systematic quality management system in the Province to ensure a consistent delivery of services to people adhering to the international standard centered on #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan.
