After two years of conducting meetings online due to the pandemic, the La Union Association of Local Treasurers and Assessors (LUALTRA) have finally managed a face to face meeting on June 8, 2022 held at the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) Meeting Hall at Sevilla, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The said meeting was spearheaded by Ms. Janet D. Molina, Provincial Treasurer, and Engineer Arnulfo A. Cacho, Provincial Assessor. Current status of Real Property Tax Collection and Updates on the 2023 General Revision of Schedule of Market Values were discussed among the Municipal Treasurers and Assessors of the Province of La Union.

The General Revision is one way of having an effective and efficient way of collecting Real Property Taxes which will contribute further to the development and progress of our Province.

Also present during the said gathering were Ms. Catherine E. Franco, Provincial Budget Officer, Ms. Evelyn Obra, a representative from the Provincial Accounting Office, and Mr. Justo H. Orros III, who represented our Governor Francisco Emmanuel R. Ortega III.

The Governor's message emphasizes the vital role of Assessors and Treasurers in local development. He urged them that their partnership should be sustained and strengthened towards the attainment of the vision and make La Union worth living in.
