At the onset of the implementation of Gov. Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-Davidโs P.U.S.O Agenda, she convened for the first time her Provincial Cabinet Members earlier today, July 4, 2022, at the Diego Silang Hall, Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.
Gov. Rafy presided the cabinet meeting in order to effectively deliver a new brand of public service to kaprobinsiaan together with the new set of Provincial Officials, Department Heads, empowered offices and employees.
The new governor discussed with the cabinet members her plans for the realization of her aspiration that every kaprobinsiaan would benefit from the Provincial Government's recovery efforts through the P.U.S.O Agenda โ which she plans to execute within the first 100 days of her term and serve as the springboard for the first year of her administration.
โI believe it is truly critical for every Chief Executive to perform well on their first 100 days. It is where we, as one team, will lay and build the foundation towards a successful administration,โ the provincial chief executive said.
The P.U.S.O Agenda of the new Provincial Administration is sectioned into three parts โ Align, Address, and Attract and Augment.
Align pertains to the attendance to the various institutional and diplomatic requirements, specifically from the Department of Interior and Local Government which starts with the reorganization within the Provincial Government of La Union given the new set of elected officials, the retirement of Department Heads, and the attrition of some of the employees.
Address is focused on the Plans, Programs, and Activities that will cater to the needs of the constituents.
Attract and Augment aims to engage in Public-Private Partnerships and attract possible investors for the Province of La Union.
Also during the cabinet meeting, Gov. Rafy further discussed La Union PROBINSYAnihan โ the call to action and battle cry of the PGLU for her term in office. She explained that La Union PROBINSYAnihan is a call for unity for the whole province, shall measure the successes, and will be the fruition of the P.U.S.O Agenda and its framework.
With Gov. Rafy โs vision of a brand new and improved quality of public service, the Provincial Government of La Union is hoping that the 800,000-strong kaprobinsiaan in the more than 200,000 households, from the 576 barangays of the 20 component LGUs will be inspired to move to action and take part in a most exciting, engaging, inclusive, collaborative, and results-driven Governance leading to a #StrongerLaUnion.
