In continuous coming together to preserve the state of peace and order in the Province of La Union, the Provincial Peace and Order Council (PPOC) and the La Union Anti-Drug Abuse Council (LUADAC) conducted a Joint Meeting on October 11, 2022 via video conferencing.
The joint committees took note of policies on peace and order and the new members of PPOC and LUADAC. Also reported was the 3rd Quarter 2022 State of Peace and Order in the Province highlighting that La Union continues to enjoy relatively peaceful environment due to the implementation of the Enhanced-Managing Police Operations, strong police presence, 12-hour shift, checkpoints, deployment of Tactical Motorcycle Riding Units, among others.
Presented was the 3rd Quarter Anti-Illegal Drugs Accomplishment Report and updates on the Implementation of Barangay Drug Clearing Program wherein out of 576 barangays, there are 451 drug-cleared barangays or 91.31% while there are 75 unaffected barangays and 50 remaining drug-affected barangays.
The Department of the Interior and Local Government reported on the POC Performance Audit 2022 wherein La Union was the first Province of the Region to complete encoding/uploading of POC Audit documents and the province also has 100% or 21/21 Functional Rating for POC Audits 2019 and 2021.
Finally, the third Quarter of 2022 secretariat report was also presented including Council Meeting for the Year; Member Attendance Summary; Status of Council Resolutions; Other Activities of the Council; and Ways Forward. The PPOC Implementing Rules and Regulations was also discussed.

Raphaelle Veronica โRafyโ Ortega-David said, โโฆthe forces that seek to distort the prevailing peace and order in our communities will always lurk at every dark and sad crack and corner, but time and again, we all have proven that the wheels of justice are unceasingly turning in favor of those who seek it and those who bravely stand by it. Through La Union PROBINSYAnihan, we shall choose the right thing to do and in so doing, we cast a beam of lightโฆwe extend our hand in peaceโฆwe utter kind wordsโฆto dispel the darkness.โ
The members of PPOC and LUADC committed to push for programs that will preserve the peace and order in the province as part of the #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan.
