Showcasing her prowess in Agri-business, Young Farmer Geneva Suriben of Brgy. Sipulo, Bacnotan, La Union brought pride to the Province as she was conferred as one of the Top 7 Regional Awardees of the Young Farmers Challenge Program (YFCP) of the Department of Agriculture (DA) for this year.
The 24-year old Agripreneur started her venture in Duck Processing and Production last July and as her interest in Duck Farming progressed, she pursued Agri-business until she got inspired to join the competition.
YFCP is a competitive financial grant assistance program open to all interested youth who want to venture in agri-fishery based enterprises.
With the constant promotion of #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, the Provincial Government of La Union led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica Ortega-David commends Ms. Geneva Suriben for achieving this milestone. Gov. Rafy also extends its gratitude for her agricultural initiatives towards shaping agricultural development in the province and in making La Union the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
