As the external champions of the Agri-Tourism Strategy, the La Union Multi-Sectoral Governance Council (MSGC) solidified its commitment to partner with Gov. Raphaelle Veronica β€œRafy” Ortega-David’s administration as they took their oaths on August 25, 2022, at the Provincial Capitol, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The MSGC, headed by Rev. Brennus H. Paragas, presented the Council’s projects and programs formulated to contribute to the Strategy. Chairperson Paragas also introduced the officers and sectoral advisers who would provide advisory support and initiatives to realize the Province’s vision and Gov. Rafy’s PUSO Agenda.

Following this, Gov. Rafy led the oath-taking of officers and members of the Council, to which the following designations were recognized: MSGC Chairperson Rev. Brennus Paragas and Vice Chairperson Mr. Ramon Benito D. Tamayo; MSGC Officers Ms. Gemma G. Chan, Mr. Xavier B. Mercado, Mr. Ives Q. Nisce, Mr. Cesar D. Ocampo; MSGC Sectoral Advisors Mr. Rodolfo B. Abrio and Mr. Manuel G. Acosta.

Gov. Rafy expressed her gratitude to the Council for their significant contributions to the province’s accomplishments, active participation, and continuous support to the strategic activities of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), particularly with the Performance Governance System Journey.

With their oath, the Council pledged its advisory role by continuing to support the PGLU Strategic Initiatives to attain its Vision: to be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
