Promoting healthier environment and help spread sustainability efforts, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PG-ENRO) led a tree planting activity this #ArborsDay where 1,000 seedlings were planted today, June 25, 2022 at Brgy. Corro-oy, Santol La Union.
Joint personnel from PGLU, local government unit of Santol, Philippine National Police, Sanggunian Kabataan Federation and Barangay Council of Corro-oy took part in the said initiative.
Proclamation No. 643 declares June 25 every year as Philippine Arbor Day to be observed throughout the nation by planting trees and ornamental plants.
PGLU has always been committed in making a meaningful difference for the environment through it's #KalikasanNaman campaign.
With our collaborative efforts in initiating a positive contribution to our environment, we are giving our future generations the chance to live a world they can proudly call home.
