Following the directive of Gov. Rafy Ortega-David to extend immediate assistance to the Municipality of Bauang, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) has assisted a total of 78 individuals from the 25 families who were affected by the fire incident in Barangay Paringao in the evening of July 13, 2022.
As of 12:30AM of July 14, the PGLU has distributed 25 readily available family packs and 25 hygiene kits to serve as aid to the families, while 15 modular tents were also set up to temporarily shelter the affected families over the night. Augmentations on first aid and medical check-up were also provided.
While it was declared fire-out at 10:25PM of July 13, the PGLU remains on full alert with its partner agencies and the Municipal Government of Bauang to monitor the incident and the situation of the affected kaprobinsiaan.
PGLU continues to call for #AlertoKaprobinsiaan to ensure everyone's safety.
