In line with the Provincial Government of La Unionโs (PGLU) goal to empower the provinceโs youth sector by allowing them take part in building a safer and greener environment, Provincial Government โ Environment and Natural Resources Officeโs Officer-in-Charge Annalyn Rosario-Valdez imparted some knowledge on Environmental Protection Awareness among 104 Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC) cadets during the 103rd Community Defense Center of the Armed Forces of the Philippines on August 19, 2022 at Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University-South La Union Campus (DMMMSU-SLUC), Consolacion, Agoo, La Union.
EnP. Rosario-Valdez, who is also a Philippine Army Reservist, was very elated to join the ROTC cadets from DMMMMSU and CICOSAT Colleges to discuss the various environmental initiatives of the PGLU on Forest Resources Management, Integrated Waste Management, Mines and Geosciences Services, Freshwater Management, Coastal Resources Management, Air Quality Management and Climate Change Mitigation and Adaptation.
Further, EnP. Rosario-Valdez presented the proposed collaboration activities with the Philippine Army ROTC unit, enjoining them in #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan.
The PGLU and the 103rd Community Defense Center of the Armed Forces of the Philippines remain as strong partners in #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan and in promoting environmental protection initiatives in the Province while working in synergy in building a Stronger La Union, a province worth living in.
