Hundreds of Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) graduates from the province of La Union were given an opportunity to find job suitable for their skills and training programs during the National Tech-Voc Day and World Cafรฉ of Opportunities (WCO) spearheaded by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority โ€“ La Union (TESDA-La Union) on August 25, 2022 in La Union College of Science and Technology, Central West, Bauang, La Union.

The Provincial Public Employment Service Office was present in the said activity to show support to TESDA as one of its dynamic employment partners and assist jobseekers from La Union.

The WCO is an annual activity in celebration of National Tech-Voc Day with the support of various stakeholders. It is a one-stop shop for TVET graduates and alumni where national government agencies, private companies, tech-voc institutions, and financing institutions converge in a strategic location to overall possible employment, training, financing opportunities and facilitate higher job skill matching.

TESDA Provincial Director Alvin L. Yturralde expressed his sincere gratitude to the employers, private technical institutions and government agencies present for extending their services to TVET clients.

In a message delivered by Executive Assistant Mr. Justo Orros III, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica โ€œRafyโ€ Ortega-David likewise shared her heartfelt gratitude to TESDA.

A total of 184 TVET graduates and alumni underwent job interviews from the 13 employers who participated in the jobs fair for local and overseas employment. Available job vacancies were carpenters, laborers, account manager, resort manager, analyst, data encoder, gardener, staff nurse, nursing aide, caregivers, cook, cleaners, machine operator, maintenance, food and beverages attendant, cashier, front desk officer, warehouseman, manager, production operator, teacher and many more.
