The Don Mariano Marcos Memorial State University – Mid La Union Campus (DMMMSU-MLUC) together with the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) through the Provincial Public Employment Service Office (PESO) spearheaded the DMMMSU Trabaho Center Virtual Orientation to Employers. The activity was organized by DMMMSU-MLUC Office of the Student Affair Services Head, Dr. Bernardo D. Lamadrid; Career and Placement Service In-charge Ms. Alicia A. Cadwising with the Provincial Public Employment Service Office represented by Mr. Rowell B. Timoteo, Labor & Employment Officer II.

Dr. Lamadrid opened the activity through an overview of programs and achievements of the DMMMSU and their role of developing future professionals in the community. He emphasized the importance of DMMMSU Trabaho Center on how it would help the university students and graduates land a decent career of their choice for local and overseas employment.

On the other hand, Mr. Rowell B. Timoteo gave additional inputs on the guidelines of conducting future recruitment activities at Provincial PESO in the new normal. Provincial PESO Manager, Ms. Charito C. Dator, extended her sincere gratitude for the potential employer partners who attended the activity. Ms. Dator encouraged their involvement in providing employment opportunities to jobseekers.

With the establishment of school-based PESO in the campus, DMMMSU-MLUC, DOLE-LUFO and the PGLU through PESO will continue working together in strengthening the services for employment facilitation, career guidance & counseling, job fairs, recruitment activities and employability enhancement trainings contributing to the economic recovery of the province of La Union as we move forward to the new normal.
