The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Local Economic Enterprise and Investment Promotions Unit (LEEIPU), conducted the Investments Policy Briefing and Counseling Webinar on November 29, 2021, via Online Platform in partnership with the Board of Investments (BOI) – Investments Assistance Service and Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) La Union.

Gov. Francisco Emmanuel "Pacoy" R. Ortega III thanked the DTI and the BOI, PGLU’s steadfast partners, for their consistent assistance in creating a better business climate in the province. This activity is a testament to the eagerness of the province to push for economic recovery and build resiliency. He also added, “Through this webinar, we can enhance our policy crafting and marketing strategies with the end goal to better attract potential investors. I can't emphasize more that your role is significant as investments are truly the lifeblood of our economic recovery.”

Ms. Danela C. Bautista, the Investment Specialist of BOI-IAS, discussed The Philippine Investment Priority Plan on the updates on government policies for investments. While Mr. Lubin R. De Vera Jr, Supervising Investments Specialist of BOI-IAS, explained the CREATE Law and Local Investment and Incentives Code. Mr. Edilberto C. Nunag, Chief Investments Specialist of BOI-IAS, discussed the integration of topics.

The Thrive in La Union Investment Plan and Presentation of Investment Hub was presented by Ms. Julienne Gayle V. Caringal-Guianan of LEEIPU to component LGUs through the actionable plans, projects, and activities that will cater to the conduct of necessary technical assistance and to further encourage investments and economic activities within the province of La Union.
