Local Surfer June Esquivel of San Juan prove to be the next La Union Pride as he tops the Menβs Open Longboard Division during the Pilipinas Surfing National: Bayβs Inn Surfing Challenge 2022 held at Baler, Aurora on October 26, 2022. Esquivel also bagged the second spot for the Junior Shortboard Division in the said competition.
The surfing competition was participated in by skillful surfers from the different parts of the country.
The Provincial Government of La Union led by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica Ortega-David congratulates Mr. Esquivel for waving the banner of the Province. Gov. Rafy also extends its gratitude for the teamβs remarkable contribution in boosting the tourism sector of La Union through Surfing.
In line with #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan, the PGLU remains steadfast in its commitment to support the world class surfers of the Province and develop opportunities for the youth to thrive in the said sport which remains integral in attaining the vision of La Union to become the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
