PNP-LUPPO Women's Month Culmination Centers on Women Roles in Society, Continued Empowerment

Continuous women empowerment through collaborative work while recognizing their crucial role in the society were the highlights of the Philippine National Police - La Union Police Provincial Office (PNP-LUPPO) Culmination Ceremony of the 2023 National Women’s Month Celebration on March 27, 2023 at Camp Diego Silang, Carlatan, City of San Fernando, La Union. Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David served as the Guest of Honor and Speaker in the event.
In her message, Gov. Rafy shared, “…as people in public service, let us take this opportunity to renew our commitments to uplift women...our mothers, wives, daughters, sisters, friends and every woman, to continue to recognize their abilities…I dream of a province wherein girls will grow as empowered women and members of the society, working hand in hand with men to achieve greater heights.”
Gov. Rafy also recounted her personal experiences and challenges in her public service journey as a woman wherein she underscored that action and performance speak louder as proof of competence over gender biases.
First District Board Member Maria Rosario Eufrosina “Chary” P. Nisce also gave her words of encouragement to all police personnel with highlight on the message aligned to the PNP Jingle, Life is Beautiful.
Other highlights of the program were the recognition of 9 cops as Top Performing Female Police Personnel of the PNP-LUPPO where PCOL LAMBERT A SUERTE gave his commendations to all awardees and PNP personnel, committing to continuously uphold women empowerment.
A total of 24 wheelchairs were also turned over to two differently-abled persons, 20 police stations, and two mobile force companies under PNP-LUPPO’s Project Gulong ng Suerte ELYU through the partnership with Alagang Akay, Algang Sol, and Madame of Bauang.
The Provincial Government of La Union remains an active agent for the promotion of different Programs, Projects and Activities that empower women and provides equal opportunities to all.
