The Provincial Government of La Union, through Gov. Francisco Emmanuel "Pacoy" R. Ortega III, enters into a Memorandum of Agreement with PLDT and Smart Communications for the provision of additional CoViD-19 vaccine supplies of the province yesterday, April 6, 2022, at the Capitol Building, City of San Fernando, La Union.

The communications companies donated 4,600 doses of Moderna Vaccines which will be used as primary and booster doses for adult Kaprobinsiaan and primary dose for the Rest of the Pediatric Population or Kaprobinsiaan ages 12โ€“17 year-old.

Gov. Pacoy led the MOA signing together with Victor Michael V. Mendoza, Smart Customer Development Manager - La Union; and Engr. Gerardo D. Marquez, Jr., PLDT Head โ€“ Consumer Service Zone - Ilocos Region. Also present to witness the forging of MOA were Board Member Chary P. Nisce; Provincial Legal Officer Atty. Dominique Jose S. Puzon; Provincial Administrator Agnes Grace A. Cargamento; and Provincial Health Officers Dr. Eduardo S. Posadas and Dr. Dan William Y. Dacanay.

On the other hand, the PGLU has also received additional 5,000 doses of AstraZeneca donated by the City of San Juan, Metro Manila.

Gov. Pacoy is optimistic that with the additional supplies of CoViD-19 vaccines, more Kaprobinsiaan will be protected against the fatal disease. The PGLU remains proactive in promoting #BakunaMuna campaign and convincing our Kaprobinsiaan to get vaccinated as we continue adapting our lives to the impacts of CoViD-19.
