With the continuous and consistent promotion of love and unity in the province and as part of the celebration of #AyatFest2023, the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) conducted the La Union Jobs Fair 2023 at CSI the City Mall, Barangay Biday, City of San Fernando, La Union.

In partnership with the CSI the City Mall, the Jobs Fair was successfully conducted on February 27, 2023 as part of the Ayat Fest 2023: the 173rd La Union Founding Anniversary with the theme: La Union La Unay.

In Gov. Raphaelle โ€œRafyโ€ Ortega-Davidโ€™s message to the jobseekers, she emphasized, โ€œKaya naman po kaprobinsiaan, letโ€™s manifest good news this day and the days ahead of us. I-claim na ngayong araw madami tayong HOTS or Hired-on-the-Spot jobseekers. Keep the positivity and optimism na lalabas kayo sa jobs fair na ito na may bagong pag-asa at may dalang good news sa pamilyang uuwian ninyo.โ€ Gov. Rafy and the Provincial PESO is committed to bring gainful employment opportunities to our jobseekers in La Union.

A total of 44 employers participated in the jobs fair and offered 8,200 jobs both for local and overseas employment. Participating agencies from other cities/provinces like Baguio City, Pangasinan, Tarlac City, Pampanga, Laguna, Cavite and Metro Manila together with the local employers from La Union converged in one jobs fair venue to provide decent jobs for Kaprobinsyiaan. The Provincial PESO logged 458 jobseekers from the facilitation of online registration and actual registration at the jobs fair area. 41 lucky kaprobinsiaan got hired-on-the-spot.

The PGLU through the provincial PESO will continue strengthening ties with the National Government Agency partners, different LGUs, private establishments, business owners and overseas recruitment agencies in creating a progressive investment and employment hub in La Union contributing to the attainment of the provinceโ€™s vision to be the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
