The Balay Namnama (Bahay Pag-asa) located in Sta. Rita, Bacnotan, La Union is set to operate and start admitting Children-in-Conflict with the Law (CICL) on May 2, 2022. In preparation for this momentous event, the Provincial Government of La Union through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office conducted an orientation for Barangay/Municipal Council for the Protection of Children (B/MCPC) officers and members including residents from the neighborhood on April 26, 2022 inside the said facility.
The activity aims to orient and make the stakeholder be aware of their roles as host LGU in the operation and management and the activities of clients admitted in the residential care facility.
PSWD Officer Ranilo P. Ipac opened the event with his inspiring remarks followed by an Overview of the Bahay Pag-asa and Presentation of Expectations. This was followed by an open forum and the signing of Commitments by the BCPC participants and WCPD Officers from Bacnotan Municipal Police Station.
Queries and doubts were raised and were duly answered clearly.
