PROVINCIAL SCHOOL BOARD (PSB) HOLDS ITS LAST REGULAR MEETING FOR 2022

As the year 2022 concludes, the Provincial School Board (PSB) held its last meeting for the year on December 14, 2022, at Dencio’s Bar and Grill Restaurant, Pagdalagan, City of San Fernando, La Union.
On behalf of Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, Chairperson of the Provincial School Board, Atty. Donato D. Balderas, Jr., La Union Schools Division Superintendent and Co-Chair of PSB,. presided over the board meeting.
Discussed and approved during the meeting were the following: 1) Proposed PSB Annual Work and Financial Plan for CY 2023 amounting to Php131,000,000.00 covering the different programs/projects and activities of the Provincial School Board such as Educational Personal Skills and Knowledge Upgrade,Educational Facilities Development Program, and Learning Resources Upgrade; 2) Proposed Special Education Fund (SEF) budget for 2023 in support of the proposed PSB Annual Work and Financial Plan 2022 and 3) Renewal of the contract of PSB teachers for CY 2023.
The meeting ended with a year-end assessment of the Board’s accomplishments and the targets for the ensuing year. Simple tokens from the beloved Governor Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David were given to the members of the Board in appreciation of their contributions and efforts in the implementation of the programs/projects and activities of the Provincial School Board for the educational sector.
Present during the meeting are the members of the Provincial School Board and the Technical Working Group (TWG).
