PGLU Upgrades ICT Hardware, Software for Improved Operations, Service Delivery

As the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) continues to improve its Information and Communications Technology (ICT) initiatives towards the realization of a transformative governance, the Information and Communication Technology Unit (ICTU), through its ICT Upgrade Program, distributed ICT resources to different PGLU Offices, Departments, and District Hospitals in order to support their respective operational activities and projects.
A total of 37 desktop computers, 79 laptops, 60 printers, six tablets, and five monitors were procured. These resources were in addition to the PGLU’s current 813 working ICT resources.
Moreso, a total of 100 Windows-10 and MS Office licenses were likewise purchased to upgrade operating units with outdated software.
Through the leadership of Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, the PGLU will be dedicated in implementing cutting-edge ICT solutions that will improve the delivery of services to its Kaprobinsiaan and, ultimately, create an impact in the society as the province becomes the Heart of Agri-Tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025.
