PGLU Honors Service Excellence; Conducts Mass Oath-Taking, Conferment of Gantimpala Agad Award

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) celebrates dedication, commitment, and service through a Mass Oath-Taking of Newly-Appointed Employees and Conferment of Gantimpala Agad Awards on June 4, 2025.
The recognitions highlight the employees’ shared purpose in delivering quality public service and exemplifying excellence in their work. Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David administered the oath to 71 newly-appointed employees from the Executive Department and District Hospitals. In a separate event, Vice Gov. Mario Eduardo C. Ortega led the ceremony for the 6 newly-appointed employees from the Legislative Department.
Furthermore, three employees from the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian were recognized for their commendable display of compassion and commitment to animal welfare, exemplified by their swift response and life-saving care for an injured dog, which gained commendation from a concerned citizen and animal welfare advocate. The awardees for the Gantimpala Agad Award were Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Domingo Bobby C. Calub, Meat Control Officer II Dr. Arvin F. Sobrepreña, and Veterinarian I Dr. Romuelda M. Gallebo.
“I hope you keep in mind na yung work po ninyo extends outside of the capitol… yung ginagawa po ninyo, meron po ‘yang impact sa buhay ng ating kaprobinsiaan,” Gov. Rafy said as she showed her gratitude to the employees and emphasized the need to uphold the quality of public service.
As a parting gift, she announced the registration of the Collective Negotiation Agreement of the PGLU and La Union Provincial Government Employees Organization with the Civil Service Commission, “Magkakaroon na po ng legal basis ang PGLU para makapagbigay ng karagdagang bonus para sa inyo… despite the problems, naghanap po tayo ng solusyon para mabigay po ang deserve ng bawat isa sa inyo.” Through the CNA registration, the PGLU may now facilitate the granting of CNA incentives for every qualified employee, subject to pertinent provisions.
