PGLU HONORS 126TH RIZAL MARTYRDOM

The Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) joined the nation in commemorating the 126th anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Protacio Rizal on December 30, 2022 at the Heroes Park, Capitol Complex, City of San Fernando, La Union with the theme, “Rizal: Alaalang Iningatan, Yaman Ngayon ng Bayan.”
Organized by the La Union Provincial Tourism Office (LUPTO) - Culture and the Arts Unit, the ceremony was attended by PGLU officials, department heads and staff.
On behalf of Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, Board Member Cynthia Angelica Bacurnay as Committee Chairperson on Culture and the Arts led the wreath laying proper in front of Rizal's monument, joined by Board Members Ma. Rosario Eufrosina “Chary” Nisce and Jennifer Mosuela-Fernandez. Joining the celebration are Provincial Treasurer Janet Molina, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Eduardo Posadas, Provincial Jail Warden Rimas Calixto and esteemed local historian and author Dr. Adriel Meimban.
