PGLU Consults Stakeholders; Forge ahead Plans, Programs for CY 2024 AIP

Forging ahead the plans and programs of the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) with civic participation as support in sustainable development, the Office of the Provincial Planning and Development Office (OPPDC) spearheaded the CY 2024 Annual Investment Program (AIP) Stakeholders’ Consultation on April 25-27, 2023 via video conferencing.
The consultation aspires to source out innovations and new strategies in achieving the province’s long-term vision to be the “Heart of Agri-tourism in Northern Luzon by 2025” by consulting the stakeholders on their inputs and collate recommendations on the proposed project, programs and activities (PPAs) in the CY 2024 AIP. This undertaking leads to leveraging into attaining sustainable economic development in the province through #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan. In this regard, the offices presented their respective proposed CY 2024 AIP followed by an open forum to address queries and concerns from the stakeholders.
During the consultation, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David extended her warm welcome through a video greeting. “As we present and discuss the proposed AIPs, keep in mind that this responsibility may be hard and challenging but this responsibility is given to you because I know that you’re all capable of giving an outstanding service to elevate the lives of our people. Paulit ulit ko pong sinasabi sa pamilya ko dito sa Provincial Government of La Union, I can do things you cannot, you can do things I cannot, together we can do great things!”, the Governor said. She also pointed out how blessed she is to have a competent and dedicated team and partners in serving our Kaprobinsiaan.
Present during the three-day consultation were partners from NGAs, Representatives from the two districts of the Province of La Union, Sangguniang Panlalawigan Members, Mayors from the 20 component LGUs, colleagues from Civil Society Organizations, and Department Heads of PGLU. Further, a total of 51 participants attended on day 1, 46 participants from day 2, and 44 participants for day 3.
