Committed to helping the kaprobinsiaan by delivering free and quality perioperative services, Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David and the whole Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU), through the Naguilian District Hospital (NDH), provided free circumcision to pre-teens dubbed as “Operation Tu-Li” on February 11, 2023, in Naguilian, La Union.

NDH, in collaboration with the Operating Room Nurses Association of the Philippines La Union Chapter and Philippine Nurses Association La Union Chapter, assisted children aged 9-13 years old with the offered free circumcision services. The children, accompanied by their parents, patiently lined up to save themselves from the expensive cost of circumcision. This, therefore, opened an opportunity to further establish the “U” under Governor Rafy’s P.U.S.O Agenda— Universal Access to Basic Needs. There were 41 recipients who were prescribed free post-medication; this helped them in healing, avoiding infections, and preventing complications.

Governor Rafy and PGLU continue their endeavor to promote the health and well-being of the people. It is the province’s top priority to provide quality healthcare services, especially to indigent families, all the while maintaining strong partnerships with organizations with the same goals. This initiative also served as an encouragement to inspire all kaprobinsiaan to join as one community under the call for #LaUnionPROBINSYAnihan in elevating the lives of all people in La Union.
