The Provincial Government of La Union through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) supervised the Local Recruitment Activity (LRA) of MyRecruiter Inc. (MRI), on March 10-11, 2022, at PESO-La Union, 2nd Floor, LUPAC Bldg., Quezon Ave., City of San Fernando, La Union. While following minimum health standards, Labor & Employment Officer II, Mr. Exequiel N. Madayag, Jr. together with PESO employees conducted brief employment coaching to jobseekers. PESO La Union also disseminated the existence of Find Jobs La Union Employment Portal as a job-searching website where they can look for other vacant jobs online. 40 jobseekers were screened and interviewed during the two-day recruitment activity conducted at PESO.
MRI currently provides managed services covering the functional areas of delivery services, janitorial and utility, logistics and supply chain, manufacturing (food and non-food), messengerial, office administration and technical services as they expand their operations in La Union. The agency has an urgent need to recruit housekeeping attendants, F&B service, F&B kitchen, steward and pool attendant to be deployed in Poro Point, City of San Fernando, La Union.
The declaration of Alert Level 1 in the Province of La Union allowed business establishments to operate in full capacity enabling PESO to resume its program on creating jobs for our kaprobinsiaan. As mandated, PESO shall provide recruitment and employment assistance to various employers and jobseekers as we continue adapting our lives to the impacts of CoViD-I9.
