To promote a breastfeeding-friendly environment, Naguilian District Hospital (NDH) conducted a Lactation Management Training for non-clinical staff held at the NDH Conference Room.
The training was attended by a wide range of personnel, including administrative staff, clerks, utility workers, and other support staff. Earlier this year, a similar lactation training was conducted for the hospital’s nursing and clinical staff. Chief of Hospital Dr. Dan William Y. Dacanay II emphasized the importance of equipping all team members, believing that every individual, whether the frontliners or those providing support functions, plays a vital role in supporting maternal and infant health.
This effort is part of NDH’s broader advocacy aligned with the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and Mother- Baby Friendly Hospital Initiatives. By expanding the scope of its lactation education, the hospital strengthens its position as a champion for maternal and child wellness not just in the province, but in the region, as well.
The success of the training marks another milestone in NDH’s ongoing journey to promote inclusive healthcare practices, echoing the Provincial Government of La Union’s commitment to providing Universal Access to Basic Needs for all KaPROBINSYAnihan, especially for mothers and children.
