NDH Lectures, Capacitates Patients with Basic Lifesaving Skills on Choking

Nagulian District Hospital (NDH) has been taking measures to educate kaprobinsiaan on essential health and safety tips.
On April 18, 2023, NDH's head of Emergency Preparedness and Response, Mr. Benedict B. Banayat, conducted a lecture on Emergency Preparedness and Response in cases of choking. The lecture was held at the NDH Outpatient Department for it aims to empower and capacitate the NDH patients with basic lifesaving skills.
During the lecture, Mr. Banayat demonstrated a vital life skill that provides an individual with knowledge on how to deal with medical emergencies such as obstruction of airway. Possible signs and symptoms of choking and the step-by-step procedures of the Heimlich Maneuver were also discussed.
The NDH is committed in providing quality patient care and ensuring that their patients are equipped with the knowledge and skills to handle medical emergencies as well. The hospital will continue to hold such lectures which will focus on different aspects of emergency preparedness and response, in the future - all of these in the spirit of La Union PROBINSYANihan.
