Naguilian District Hospital (NDH) successfully held a Mobile Blood Donation drive, resulting in the collection of 50 bags of blood to support local healthcare needs, on February 24, 2025, at the NDH Conference Hall, Naguilian, La Union.

The event aimed to address the increasing demand for blood supply in the province and promote the importance of community participation in healthcare services. It was carried out in partnership with the Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center, the Department of Health, and the Junior Chamber International Naguilian Basi.

KaPROBINSYAnihan, hospital staff, student trainees, employees from partner organizations, and volunteers contributed to the life-saving cause. The hospital administration urges more individuals to take part in future donation drives, highlighting the vital role of community-driven efforts in strengthening their healthcare services. “Every drop of blood donated is a potential life saved,” NDH Chief of Hospital, Dr. Dan William Y. Dacanay II, said.

Following the success of the event, the NDH plans to make the initiative a regular event quarterly to ensure a consistent and sustainable blood supply for patients.

The Provincial Government of La Union, headed by Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega-David, banks on this cause and encourages KaPROBINSYAnihan to join blood donation drives that address healthcare challenges in the province.
