In honor of Women’s Month and Naguilian District Hospital’s (NDH) 53rd Anniversary, the Healthy Lifestyle Committee of NDH organized a special Zumba dance exercise on March 7, 2025, at the NDH Conference Room. It aimed to promote health, wellness, and fitness among the employees, encouraging everyone to prioritize their well-being in a fun and engaging way.
The event underscored the importance of empowering women to take charge of their health while balancing the demands of work and life. Physical activity, like Zumba, is a powerful tool for maintaining both physical and mental health, reducing stress, and boosting confidence. This special event was a reminder that fitness also involves having fun while connecting with others and fostering a community spirit.
“The Zumba dance exercise event was just one of the many ways the NDH family embraces wellness, teamwork, and empowerment… regardless of our busy schedules, we all deserve time for self-care and physical activity,” said NDH’s Chief of Hospital Dr. Dan William Y. Dacanay II, MD., DFM the Chief of Hospital.
Through events like this, the Healthy Lifestyle Committee at NDH continues to emphasize the importance of maintaining an active lifestyle. By offering regular fitness activities like Zumba, the hospital aims to provide its employees with the resources and encouragement they need to lead healthier, happier lives. Their Zumba Sessions will continue to be conducted and will be adopted in their weekly routine every Friday.
NDH is one of the many district hospitals under the Provincial Government of La Union (PGLU) that holds great regard for employee health and wellness. With Gov. Raphaelle Veronica “Rafy” Ortega David’s support in women KaPROBINSYAnihan, the PGLU continues to empower women in its plans, projects, and activities.
